This morning I volunteered with NY Cares at the Added Value community farm in Redhook, Brooklyn. There were about 30 of us that helped weed, turn soil, spread compost, transplant, and other various tasks. If you live in the NYC area I would recommend getting involved with this community farm or at least checking out their market every Saturday! Also, it’s conveniently located next to Ikea.
